When I was a kid, there was only one instrument I wanted to learn to play, the fiddle. There’s one man responsible for that desire, Charlie Daniels. A few years ago, he told me not to blame him for that, but its true!

Charlie was one of the most down to earth, patriotic, and God Loving men around. He blessed us all with his Country & Southern Rock sound, but also his love of his fellow man, his country, and his God.

A lot of people have an idea of Charlie Daniels, but he was very complex and not to be pigeon-holed. He perfomed at anti-war protests in D.C in 1969, campaigned for Jimmy Carter, and played with Bob Dylan.

Charlie Daniels on Earl Scruggs and playing the “Moratorium to End the War in Vietnam” in Washington, D.C.

So, here’s my little bit of a tribute to a man who at 83 years old was still giving his all on the stage to entertain us!
