What a great weekend it’s been, so far!

Saturday was chock full of fun!

I started the day with Walkersville‘s Pop-Up on Penn celebrating the start of Walkersville Southern Railroad‘s 2025 Season and the Grand Opening of Whistle Stop Coffee Company.

This last minute gig turned out great with hundreds of people and TRAINS! I did a whole lot of train songs, including my new song, “Distant Trains”, which got a lot of love from the train folks!

The Walkersville Southern Railroad folks enjoyed it enough to ask me back. So, I’ll be coming back to some other events, perhaps with the whole band, as our schedules allow.

I’m looking forward to supporting this great organization in my hometown that’s keeping enthusiasm for trains going strong. If you haven’t been on one of their train rides, book a trip now!

After leaving the train station, I headed down to one of my favorite places to play, The Comus Inn!

There was a rain delay, as a pretty powerful storm blew through just before I could get set-up on stage. After some hail and worries about a tornado, we all celebrated with some Vanish beers, delicious food, and country songs about rain.

As the sun returned and mist rose from the fields surrounding Sugarloaf Mountain, I got into my planned set of music. I was pleasantly surprised to see friends and family arrive to join in the fun. We enjoyed some great times that carried through the next storm that came into the area. As the storm rolled through, we sang “I Love A Rainy Night” and “The Thunder Rolls” before unplugging the equipment as the thunder really rolled.

We waited out the storm on stage with friends old and new, and got right back to the music as the sun made another return!

Thanks to all who came out to these shows, requested songs, sang along, and purchased physical copies of my music!

I hope to see you all at VOX Lounge this Friday, May 9, 2025 from 7 – 10 p.m. in Downtown Frederick!
