On Wednesday, March 18, 2026, I had the pleasure of joining Brian and Ryan on The Musician’s Café Podcast for an evening that felt less like an interview and more like sitting around with old friends.
We spent the night talking music, trading stories, and digging into the journey behind some of my songs. There’s something special about conversations like that—when you can go beyond the surface and really share where the music comes from, the experiences behind it, and the moments that shape the songwriting.

Of course, it wouldn’t be a true Mike Kuster evening without a couple glasses of whiskey in the mix. That laid-back atmosphere made it easy to relax, have some laughs, and just enjoy the moment. After the stories, I got to play a couple songs live, which is always one of my favorite ways to connect—stripped down and honest, just the way I like it.
Brian and Ryan create a great space for musicians to be themselves, and I’m grateful I got to be part of it. It’s platforms like theirs that keep real, independent music alive and give artists a chance to share their stories in a meaningful way.
All in all, it was a fantastic night—good conversation, good bourbon, and good music. I’m looking forward to you all hearing the episode.
I hope you’ll give it a listen wherever you catch your podcasts.
