There’s something special about the balance between staying rooted at home and hitting the road—and this May, I get to do both.
I’m coming off a great weekend of private shows, including a full-band performance for some of the movers and shakers in Maryland, including Governor Moore, at Hub City Vinyl and another special night down in Lovettsville with our friends Jen & George for Jen’s Surprise Birthday Party. These kinds of experiences—whether it’s a packed room with the band or a more intimate setting—always remind me why I love doing this: real rooms, real people, and songs doing exactly what they’re meant to do.
Now, I’m excited to announce two upcoming solo acoustic shows that couldn’t be more different in setting, but share the same goal: great songs, honest storytelling, and a chance to connect.
First up, I’ll be playing a laid-back afternoon set at The Elk’s Haven on Saturday, May 16th from 2–5 p.m. right here in Frederick. This is one of my favorite kinds of shows—stripped down, up close, and personal. Whether you’ve been following along for a while or just discovering the music, it’s the perfect way to spend a spring afternoon. Expect a mix of originals, fan favorites, and a few surprises along the way.
The Catoctin Cowboys and I are heading back to The Barn of Harpers Ferry in West Virginia for a special Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend Show! We’ll bring a Honky Tonkin’ Good Time to The Barn at 7:30 on Sunday, May 24th!
Then, I’ll be heading across the country for something I’ve been looking forward to for a long time—my first show in the Pacific Northwest. I’ll be taking the stage atThe Showdown in Portland on Saturday, May 30th at 8 p.m. This one’s a big milestone for me. Bringing these songs out west and playing for a brand new crowd is something I don’t take lightly, and I can’t wait to see what kind of night we create together.

And not long after I return home, I’ll be back on stage with the full band for a special night at Sky Stage.
