Award-winning independent country and Americana artist Mike Kuster has earned five nominations at the 2025 Independent Music Network (IMN) Awards, continuing a multi-year streak of recognition that highlights his impact as a songwriter, recording artist, and live performer.
Kuster’s 2025 Independent Music Network Award nominations include:
- Songwriter of the Year
- Entertainer of the Year
- Country Single of the Year – “Distant Trains”
- Country Male Artist of the Year
- Country Impact Artist of the Year
The nominations follow another standout year for Kuster, who was named Independent Music Network’s 2024 Songwriter of the Year, the latest in a string of honors recognizing his consistency and influence within independent country music.
Among this year’s nominated works is “Distant Trains,” Kuster’s first bluegrass single, produced by IBMA and Grammy Award–winning musician Michael Cleveland. The song has been widely praised for its vivid storytelling, roots authenticity, and emotional resonance.
